Sunday Stills Challenge ~ Signs of Fall

For a Nebraska girl living in Southern California, this is a confusing challenge.  I drove around looking for beautiful red and gold trees changing colors.  Nope, not around here.

Then I looked for piles of leaves on lawns ready to be raked. Nope, not around here.  This is the land of the leaf blowers and green lawns at all cost.

I did find some color outside my door.  This is still a sign of Fall around here.

Wanting very much to show you how lovely it is right now, I drove the few minutes over the hill to the ocean. This is what Fall looks like in Southern California.

Now, I'm going to go check out Sunday Stills for those beautiful photographs that others have posted.

Hoping your day is wonderful.

  5. Fall looks very good over there! But there's nothing like a midwest Autumn. Trees are turning here in Detroit area, and more so several hours north. Lovely.

  8. Your fall shots are beautiful. Certainly different than what we picture in our minds when we think of fall, but lovely in their own right. We're still having warm days, cool nights and no rain yet. So thankful for that. But, we're very dry, dusty, brown grass (what there is of it)and leaves of varying colors. I'm hoping for an Indian Summer. If so, would be the first in 4 or 5 years. I just love the crisp mornings! Now if we could just finish our projects so we can take a little time to enjoy before the rain comes...so much to do, and I'm tired of working. Thank you so much for your prayers on Shad's behalf (and ours). Still body sore, but otherwise seems back to his old self. So thankful!!
